Just a quick shot of my line-up of scrapbook albums on my desk. Some of these are full, some are works-in-progress. The Disneyland one is full of layouts from the trip we took with Charissa in May 2006. Lots of memories there!
What I see every weekday morning — the front door of my office building. Probably not necessary, but I blanked out the address for the copy I’m posting here. My company has been in this building for 10 years – we used to be in the University District, but moved downtown to be closer to the airport and to potential clients.
Another dog-themed picture. Fred is getting older (almost eight) and doesn’t always like laying on the hardwood floors. He does have a pillow in his crate, and another large pillow in a different part of the room, but sometimes he likes being in the middle of the action. For this reason, we found this old piece of carpet (leftover from when we had the floors put in). It just lays in the middle of the floor and gives him a somewhat softer place to relax.
While we were in Olympia visiting Mom, we went to the local Farmers Market (just down the street from her building). In addition to the usual fruits, veggies and flowers, they had some local craftspeople. One booth was metal and iron work, and how could I pass up this adorable metal Corgi?! Fred was intrigued, but not enough to allow me to get a good picture of the two of them together. I had to tempt him by putting a biscuit next to it. You can see the corner of said biscuit in his mouth. Fred, not the other Corgi.
And with this picture, the year is half over! It was a lovely summer evening, so I thought I would climb to the top of the back bank and snap a picture of our backyard and the back of the house. Notice the dog walking down his path from the fence to the house. He has literally worn a path in the grass. Also notice the lovely large blue recycle bin – such an attractive addition to the backyard decor.
